You Cannot Hold It In
Eyes of blue so clear,
A smile of joyous cheer,
A voice of purest gold,
Sweet memories to have and hold.
You are the one to bring
Cherished images when you sing.
Your song so true and deep
No longer inside to keep.
A small glimpse inside your heart
To this world you do impart.
A gift you hold so tight.
Not ready to give it flight.
But you can not hold it in.
Your spirit bursting from its skin
To soar among the clouds
A voice only God allows.
For the gift you have inside
Is too precious for you to hide.
You are meant to set it free,
Guiding for the world to see.
