Daydream

My eyes are shut but I'm awake,

How much more can I take ?

I'm not weak but not yet strong,

Everything I do, I do it wrong.

I bite my lip and pull my hair,

I wish this life was always fair.

Things in life you cannot hide,

Your dreams and nightmares come alive.

How much more can I take ?

My eyes are open and I'm not awake.
