You walked away and I've been searching for men like you since...

Men who speak pretty lies,
Who make promises they won't keep,
Who leave people in a shambles

And in your absence I found them everywhere.

I found them ready to take up my time,
Ready to use my mind and my body,
Ready to leave once something better
    came along.

And now that I am grown with a child and family of my own I have to stop myself from searching because all they do is what you do.

They see, and they want, and they use, and
They take up space that isn't theirs to take.

So I am laying down my search.

Because after all these years and all these tears over all these men who are like you at the end of the day I never found you, just issues.

And I don't want those anymore...
