Our Season

Frost covers the window.

The chill in the air

Brings back warm memories of you.

This was our season of love.

A time of laughter and joy.

But that all left with you.

Now the snow is more lonelier than cold.

I am lost without you.

I use to find myself in you.

Now only emptiness consumes me.

My heart froze the day you left.

And it has been still ever since.

I just want this season to end.

As quickly as it began.

Take your bitter air.

And false promises away.

Let my tears melt the snow.

Bring back my sunshine.

That your harsh winters stole away.

I must forget the warmth I felt

In the cold winter snow.

I use to be so content.

But it was only because you were holding my hand.

All the beauty I once saw.

In the white landscape.

Slipped away with your fingertips.

Now I must stand alone.

In the unforgiving snow.
