borrowed masterpieces

by khanslik

You see me falling In and out of motion To rhythms that can be neither classified Nor contained. You see me dancing Along blurred lines of reason Limbs tossed face blurry Unsure of the outcome I find myself waltzing Finally learning the steps I find myself trailing the pattern With my fingers and feet I have explored all paths and None lead me home, so I’ll call this place my haven And map it into my soul You see me dancing, falling Rhythms, motions Swaying to unheard beats and miming To unseen gestures; You see me rising, falling, leaning, crumbling Leaping over destiny’s designs Fleeing designated outcomes running straight into her arms by accident and calling that “art” and calling it by my name Unknowingly a borrower of beauty Unknowingly called to the challenge Of holding without keeping, of being loaned the start-up materials and Paying back - time, soul, masterpieces Until my well has run dry and She comes to refill.
