Everything ached and pained
She labored on mundane tasks
The sickness took her to dark space
Friends and family gave support
But she had to do this by herself

Why me she wondered
It all seemed to be one bad dream
Life begins at 40 they said
Her world was crumbling around her
More questions fewer answers

She craved answers
She wanted to be whole
Nothing seemed to work right
She crawled into her bed and prayed
She needed to be there for her girl
Her daughter meant the world to her
She will beat this
