Go ahead and let the bottom take you,
These pieces are better split apart
If there’s anything left that could be called ivory and innocent,
You’ve found it preserved, wrapped up on a shelf in the dark

Then, there are the million shades of green I’ve tasted
Sour, bright, unstable, often man-made
Take me far into something natural
Let me know when you get there safe
