Reflection
the girl in the mirror is not me
she smiles but sadly
she doesn't like what she sees
the girl in the mirror is not me
shes too pretty
shes too happy to be me
the girl in the mirror is not me
her face is painted with makeup and she wears it like a mask
she hides behind it hoping no one will see
i am me
i am the girl with the body covered in scars
and a heart painted black much to dark to see even the brightest stars
that girl in the mirror
shes the mask i wear
shes the happiness that my heart simply cannot bear
