speck
you were a
speck,
of little significance
that has somehow wriggled
under my skin,
into the veins
and capillaries
of my heart.
from a speck,
you grew larger,
the scale of significance
getting bigger,
affecting me
further
until I could feel
you consume
the spaces
in my heart.
you were supposed to be
just a speck
but now you seem
to have all the room
in my heart.
