I wasn't aware that there was a dress code
For this new club that I've been put in.
That there was a way to talk
A way to walk
In order to fit in.

I expected you guys to be excepting
More so than everyone else.
I assumed that you would love me
no matter what I had to put on the shelf

I thought that this scene was special,
Something sparkling and new.
But now you’re treating them
The same way they treated you.

"Acceptance! Acceptance!"
You continue to shout.
But you should learn to do what you say
before the words
tumble out your mouth.
