Every thought of a flock, every picture of a team,
Nothing ever has been as it looked or it seemed,
Looks are deceiving, intentions unknown,
Often I wonder who lives on the throne,
Of every persons heart, the seat made for God,
Where one can rule through staff and rod,
The gospel preaches to love your neighbor as thyself,
But often we put each other on a little shelf,
We write each other off and postpone the truth,
Scared of our past and the sins of our youth,
I tell you brothers do not be scared,
All of your transgressions should be shared,
With the ones you trust through hope and love,
And remember you are a child of the one up above.
