"Don't Leave Me," I whisper
And you promise you won't.
The voice in my head doesn't believe you
but a piece of my heart is trying to
I've been hurt before,
after all, who hasn't?
I'm still a scared little girl.
I'm vulnerable but I want you.
I hear those three valuable words,
and know that I believe them.
They color my world;
they make my heart explode.
But shadows from the past sometimes overtake me
I'm getting better, just know that
"Don't Leave Me," I whisper,
and you promise you won't, again.
Know that I believe you, and trust in you.
Don't worry, I love you too.
