Caged Bird

My fingers seem bound

To the strings of my guitar

hope these six little strings

can take my hands pretty far

My lyrics only as good

as the moral I teach

My music only as good

As the people I reach

I hope these strings stretch

so I know I can earn wings

I will learn soon enough

If this caged bird can sing
