Ignominious scooting and insurgents’ victory
Grapes of wrath have come home to harvest
Future misadventures meaningless to invest

New masters of ceremonies treading same path
Eager to launch all pervasive hegemonic swath
Violence and strife are quick and easy to sow
Peaceful progressive saplings will never grow

Commiserate with innocent folks in crossfire
Future entangled in violent lawless quagmire
Rooted in antediluvian thinking and way of life
Survival  precariously perched on edge of knife

Redemption indeed long and herculean task
World must find ways to deliver without ask
Growth and progress require united effort
A failed state is potent risk without comfort
