Fade into Light

It was on a day .... December?

Held embraced within it's death

The seasons icy breath

Like yesterday ... remember ?

the sun had left me stranded

Which was somewhat underhanded

To be left again ...alone ... i shall not weep

Though i knew time was fleeting ...

An Angel sent a greeting .....

She stayed to bring me comfort

In this loneliest of hours...

Through hours that were bliss

She warmed me with her kiss

As i drifted into sleep ....

My heart she said she'd always keep ....

in a locket

And as her light began to fade

Overtaken by the shade

I won't resist .. my time is past

I know the answer now ... at last

I am at peace.
