Nov 2021
I am penniless.
And my pockets swim with lent.
Though,
I stand with a cup
one-third full
Amidst the comforts of a lone steel barricade
and a briny bath below me.
The winds are violent,
And the tide’s at bay.
Look,
The sky is painted in pink papaya today.
Another?
No,
I say.
This will suffice.
Perhaps,
Another day.
