Sink Estate UP North

The pallor of the overriding hills

with holes loitering the roads

and the nascent night

with canned Viking descendants

looking for their own Valhalla

Innocent stars over pointed anoraks

Bright things have birth

Spilling their large frames

into a vetch of tundra
