Aug 2013
if i surround myself
with images
and memories
of hiking through
sunlit
shadow-streaked
forests,
with winding streams
and trailing ivy;
of running my fingers
along the gnarled
aged bark of tall,
impressive trees,
will i breathe as easily
as though i was standing
among them?
