Just another face in the background
Someone that reflects from the crowd
Wishing that more than a reflection
Could somehow be profound.

A soul banished from the rest
Horrible encounters, dying existence
If for just a moment in time to change
Begging for that in an instance.

A heart punished for its mistakes
Carved with a knife, bleeding
Craving to be alive and wanted
Longing to feel the beating.

Cold hands, dilated pupils
Mouth that makes not a sound
Please let me be more than...
Just another face in the background.
