As you lay beside her silently
Her beauty is your embrace
As you touch her cheek so tender
A smile peeks from her face.

Gazing at her with gentle eyes
Pressing firmly against her hips
Laying  your hand upon her heart
Planting softly, a kiss on her lips.

As you stare at her with amazement
Tears began to fall from her eyes
You gently brush the tears away
Saying, "Baby please don't cry."

Crying out, she whispers  your name
You feel the flutter of her chest
For now she's weeping relentlessly
For the man who loved her best.

Over and over, your name she repeats
Tears now flowing like rain
It's hard for you to fathom right now
That she's dreaming of you again.

Lifting her head from her pillow
Holding her close in your arms
Gently caressing her falling hair
Telling her, "Please baby be strong."

As you hold her in your arms so tight
Her head resting on your chest
A tear falls from your weeping eyes
"I'm the man who loves you best."

You lay her down to finish the dream
Leaving her with your last goodbye
A gentle kiss upon her lips
And the teardrops that you cried.

As you go to leave, she calls out your name
Wiping the tears from her eyes
"I love you sweetheart, so much that it hurts
And I bid you my last goodbye."

Tears fall regretfully down your face
As you turn to journey on your way
Leaving behind the love of your life
"I'll see you again someday."
