We were never meant to see it through
Grey skies covered your eyes of blue
There were times that I held you so tightly so close
Our love at one time was like a healthy overdose
On the day that we parted those grey skies did rain
I just stood there paralyzed, each tear from those eyes fell upon me like pain
Our lives once together, became a new life with others
Cold nights live now without you beneath those old covers
