With THEY I am labeled
Because they are to blame
THEY make a noise
THEY act like barbarians
Pointed fingers are aimed at me
THEY
Scornful voices shout
Why label me with such derogatory manner
Black I am
Proudly I pose

No attempt you make to establish friendship
Because of the dark flesh I wear
And with THEY I am labeled

My name is my identity
Pronounce it with integrity
My flesh is no different than yours
Treat it with dignity
Spontaneous I am
But you will never know
For you choose to label me with:
THEY
