Up in the morning
It’s 5:21
My dreaming is over
But my thoughts have begun

It all starts out slowly
As I lay in the bed
I gotta get moving
There’s a long day ahead

I pull on my Levi’s
And I walk out the door
Your memory is so strong
It’s hard to ignore.

I start up the pick up
And I get on the road
But in my subconscious
Comes a heart overload

You’re there in my memory
Your there in my heart
This distance between us
Well it tears me apart

You’re there in my memory
Deep down in my soul
These tears that I’m crying
Only you can console

In my mind there’s no free time
As I go through day
Heart and mind focused
From you they don’t stray

What I hold on to
No person can steel
Only you Vicki
Know the feelings I feel

As the evening it passes
And I lay down my head
I will always remember
Three words that you said

What I feel I can not deny it
Can't sell it borrow or buy it
A love that’s down in my bones
It happens to be my cornerstone

You’re there in my memory
I thought you should know
The love that we share
There’s no reason to let go.
