Light hot air settled in around me,
wrapping its arms around my body
and folding me into its embrace.

Together we travelled over the long riverside
with a trunk of golds and pinks and
branches of strong-running rivulets
holding onto buoyant groups of geese
usually grazing out on the adjacent, greener commons.

I let my arms hang freely by my sides,
the tips of my fingers gliding over the waters edge,
my shoulders melting back, resting in a cloud of fog.
