Wings,
Swirls of gold, and sliver,
Pearls and rainbows that bite the dust.

Halos of fear.
Your fingers know the touch of every crease.

The world is jeweled with stones
Ruby and coal, the eyes see no difference.

The void is space,
Space is wide,
Width is unbolted.

Lightning is breathtaking.

Have you ever seen the skies from within?
Have you ever ridden a thunderbolt?

Have you ever screamed and knew the world could care less?
That your joy is the most beautiful thing,
And they smile beneath that frown,

For nothing is as beautiful as freedom pursuing itself.
