A Small Dose Of You
It’s a cold, grey morning
There’s no sun in sight
The only source of light
Comes from your eyes
They glow in the morning
Like a firefly at night
And they give me energy
Like the sun’s rays
Give to a plant
I don’t need coffee
To start my morning
I just need
A small dose of you
A small dose of you
Gives me strength
It gives me strength
To do things like
Go on
When it feels impossible
It gives me strength
To push myself harder
Every day
And it makes my life easier
Knowing i have you
To come home to
At night
And knowing that no matter
How bad
Things are when i get home
My life will always be brighter
In the morning
I just need
A small dose
Of you
