Yesterday was dark and dim,
until I saw you across the cobblestones,
with a soaking smile.

Quietly draped with a thousand lights,
you reached out,
"take
the
leap".

And I held my breath,
jumped across the water, took your hand.
Then, we raced through the streets;
silently, but louder than all thunder.
Our happiness
recklessly dancing in the shadows.
