I wonder what my final words will be
Do I say something clever or funny
Do I create a fuss or leave peacefully
Should my words inspire
or speak a cautionary tale
Be fearless or fear being nothing

Who will hear these words
Someone dear or a strange
A friend or a foe
Do I want my words
to affect them
Will they even matter in the end

I have not the slightest clue
but what I fear most
is that I may never get to
utter my final words
