To myself,
I love you more than the trees
and you’re my soul, so you know what that means to me

You’ve seen it all, You’ve felt every raw emotion
Burried deep within self hatred, your own destruction
Every condescending word that made you feel unheard,
You rise above

Exhale the past, inhale your truth

My life.. this tree
I am the fruit.
Coming through the ground with the deepest of roots

You are love, You are light

You’re the wind that you adore
You are the rain.. how heavy it pours

YOU are the lightening and thunder yelling out
screaming;
“look at this moment, how the clouds shield the light just for you”

rest.
Lay upon these clouds
shout so loud;
that even the gates of heaven are proud
