the boys whoop and jeer

as death unfurls

they laugh with glee
and yes, this is a video game
- for real

we watch aghast
at what appear to be
people jumping rather than...

the unimaginable is happening
fractions and equivalences
are left behind

what we are seeing does not
add up...numbly we continue on
the boys still hyper
