When we  were young
The days were long and the years were longer
Dreams were big, hopes were high
We reached for the stars, the moon and the sky

But now we are old
The years are short, the days are  cold
But still we dream, still we ponder
Life is to live, not to squander

The stars may be out of our reach
The moon is still  too far away
The sky is still  blue above us
But like us, it looks older and grey
