You said you'd protect me even though you clipped my wings, The scars still hurt I can feel them sting.

You told me to quiet down, Now I know you just wanted to hide what you were doing from a crowd.

You told me it was for my own good, that I need to listen. I still can feel myself shake whenever you barge in.

I still feel the pain in my bones, even now that I have grown.

I was afraid of touch for far to long, all cause you lured me in with your siren song.

I still feel the pain in my cheeks, From you or my tears Is something I debate each and every week.

My fight and flight response is now deadly, getting so scared whenever a friend just talks loudly from behind me.

I will survive though for I am strong, I have let you affect me for way to long.

You have no more control over me I'm not sorry to say, my mind and body now my own not your instruments to play. Yea.
