weave your lies with
the strings of my fate
feel my hair slip through your fingers
brush it back
and lay a noose
on my shoulders
you tell me,
you gift me a necklace.

the fire in your heart
ignites my skin,
it scabs
and scars
and blisters.
scorch the nerves
so i can’t feel the pain.
tend to these wounds you love
and burn deeper still,
hollow me out with your flames.

shed your crystal tears for me,
flood my lungs with the icy water.
drown my words,
wash them away,
don’t let my truth
stain your name.

carve your name into me
i bleed your ink
adorn me with your design
my body, your crooked masterpiece.
scratched on
line by line.
