Oh, to be in the place where lovers go---
Where the wind is high and the moon is low.
Their stories entwined in a final show,
Oh, to be in the place where lovers go.

The stonework sparkles in the sun,
as their new lives have just begun,
Together, forever, always, as one,
as the stones shine in the sun.

Black they wear, not just the groom
they crowd into the heavy room,
to celebrate the lovers' doom---
they all wore black, not just the groom.

We close the box, go underground,
mark the place they can be found,
to remember the love that will resound,
eternal, everywhere---underground.

Oh, to be in the place where lovers go,
their corpses sleeping under snow,
their stories entwined in the final show,
Oh, to be in the place where lovers go.
