the sun that whimsically dances
watches her face as it
illuminates all the hidden wrinkles she keeps;
it shines for her to not get cold
and forbids the obscure and wicked night
to see her,
but she just can't feel it

ii.
it always agrees with her,
even if it is not right
it reads her mindβ€”hears her whispers
every time she says
"everything is going to be just alright"
but as she offers another woman
with red roses,
the sun's light dims and it gets jealous
like how the stars love the skies,
how the trees love the soil,
and like how its reason to shine
loves another person
