That's a picture of Her on the wall,
Wilt thou please stand and marvel at one
Of God's fairest creations.
Never did a countenance bear such a striking smile.
Can you feel the warmth and compassion it inspires?
Look at how that smile draws thee to behold her.
Look at the calmness in those sparkling brown eyes,
If you look long enough you’re sure to be as lost as Odysseus’s men,
When they heard that enchanting song out at sea.

Pondering at this picture it makes you wonder
How such an expression come to be there?
Is it there for the sake of the camera?
Is it as fleeting as a dandelion in the wind?
Is it as permanent as the morning star?
Or is it as long lasting as space time its self?

Some say that the expression is there because honesty
Is her armor and truth her constant companion. They say
She is a master of her passions and she serves not another’s will,
But I say the expression is there because she worries not
Of the world’s woes, nor does the world worry about her.
Her prayers are received, each wish she has resigned.

On how she came to be this way…
A poem about a girl ...
