Days Gone

Today this day not yet leaving

Will give way to morrow yet to be

When that day brings today upon us

Whose face tomorrow would I see

And yesterday, today long gone

Today again is yet to come

What would I ask again of morrow

If but to see us still as one

Again today passes lonely still

My love upon your heart to stay

I take tomorrow in it's coming

A love yet deeper again today

Silent sorrows in it's coming

Gives not a place for love to stay

Yesterday slowly in it's fading

Love stands alone for just this day

And if by chance it's slow in showing

Tomorrow in it's wayward path

And come it does, would it last forever

Linger maybe or quickly pass

On it goes in never ending wonder

And soon to be a yesterday

What is tomorrow when in coming

But a day to come and mark the way

To another day that lasts forever

To be remembered as todays gone by

And to all the days that pass with time long lasting

As tomorrow says each time in coming it's last and final sweet goodbye

So love lasts longer as time goes on

And todays do pass and go

Yesterday, tomorrow, today and now

Your the only love forever I will ever know
