How humanity suppresses its own nature
As people do what they feel they must,
Overlook their senses
As they resist the sharp pains of suffering,
As they forge a vile mimicry of happiness
to the next destination
Oh, how they forget
Or neglect to acknowledge
That at one point in time,
They wanted to drown the world
In a sea of their own tears
