You ask if I like my life.
Take a seat, right by my side.
Look up at the bright sun in the sky,
Look up at the stars, twinkling so high.
Look at the world, how far we could fly.

And now, please, look at me.
Do you see who I wanna be?
In my eyes shines happiness,
I don’t settle for anything less,
less than love, freedom, life.
How I love being alive!

Take a closer look:
Who’s that girl behind the book?
Smiling a little smile.
Been around for quite a while.
Humming a little song,
oh, she never stays long.
No one can ever disturb
her balancing on the curb
further and further, away
arms stretched wide, gone astray.

But never lost. She‘s with herself.
Who should I need, when I have myself?
An Ode to being alive and enjoying life's fullness
