The eye,
Large as life,
    up close,
        immediate,
            expanding,
Fibers of green, hazel, brown,
Stretched from the dilated pupil.

It was there,
Above me,
    stalking,
        watching,
            reminding,
My bad omen was above me,
And it burned with intensity.

The eye,
Mark of pain,
    screaming,
        midnight,
            sorrow,
Never again will I see that eye,
Never again will I hold close.
