Bliss

When they told me to relax To think of the place I felt most calm I knew just where to go. The only place I remember pure bliss Was in your arms that chilled night. When I didn’t feel the stress of the day Or the bite of the air. Never had I felt less alone, Like I had all I ever needed Right in front of me. And although you didn’t see the gleam in my eye, Or feel the rush of my beating heart, I sure felt it, and knew I would never forget it. Because your arms took away my pain, Your strength of care silenced my worry, And your heart taught me how to love.
