Like holding your breath under fourteen feet of water,
Coming up,
    Craving air,
        Calling for it,
            Swimming faster,
                Feeling the pain,
                    Then,
It’s yours.

A full lung of oxygen,
Body panting,
Treading so desperately,

But safe.
Finally safe.
Above the seemingly endless drift of space between the bottom and the top,

Smiling again.
