Here’s a little poem I wrote,
You might want to read it note for note.
Because this could be the last thing I'll ever say.
The city I once knew as home is
Teetering on the edge of bioactive oblivion,
A three-hundred thousand death/hr baptism by biological warfare.
I'm not sorry, we had it coming,
A surge of viral atonement will be our wake up call.
Hope for our future is now a stillborn dream.
The vaccines begin to fail and I'm rushing to meet my love.
Please remember me,
There is no more.

Hold your breath.
Make a wish.
Count to three,
Come with me and you'll be
Oh, don't worry, you’ll be happy.
In every life we have some trouble,
But when you worry you make it double.
Don't worry, be happy.
Don't worry, be happy now.

Because worrying is like solving an algebra equation
by chewing bubblegum.

now come,
I see trees of green,
Red roses too.
I see them bloom
For me and you.

I see skies of blue
And clouds of white,
The bright blessed day,
The dark sacred night,
And I think to myself
What a wonderful world.

Through early morning fog I see
Visions of the things to be.
The pains that are withheld for me
I realize and I can see.

Ain't got no place to lay your head,
Somebody came and took your bed.
The landlord say your rent is late,
He may have to litigate.

Someday I'll wish upon a star,
Wake up where the clouds are far behind me,
Where trouble melts like lemon drops
High above the chimney tops.

I try to find a way to make
All our little joys relate,
Without that ever-present hate.
But now I know that it's too late, and
That being happy is painless.
It brings on many changes
And I can take or leave it if I please.

In a world of pure imagination

I was swimming in the Caribbean.
Animals were hiding behind the rock,
Except the little fish.
Bump into me, swear he's
Tryin' a talk to me, say wait wait:
“Where is your mind?”

Somewhere over the rainbow
Bluebirds fly,
And the dreams that you dream of
really do come true.

The colors of the rainbow,
So pretty in the sky,
Are also on the faces
Of people going by.
I see friends shaking hands
Saying, "How do you do?"
They're really saying
"I love you."

I look to the sea,
Reflections in the waves spark my memory,
Some happy some sad.
I think of childhood friends and the dreams we had.
We live happily forever,
So the story goes,
But somehow we missed out
On that *** of gold.
But we'll try best that we can
To carry on.

Some things in life are bad,
They can really make you mad.
Other things just make you swear and curse.
When you're chewing on life's gristle
Don't grumble, give a whistle,
And this'll help things turn out for the best:
“Always look on the bright side of life.”

Forget it, I'll do it sometime, ooh
I'm locked up on the button.
Can't you do it sometime?
Fine, electrify mine, oh
Electrify my golden tooth.
Electrify my heart,
My little buttercup.

It was late at night
And you held on tight,
From an empty seat
Was a flash of light.

Tender is the night
For a broken heart.
Who will dry your eyes,
When it falls apart?

It will take a while
To make you smile.
Somewhere in these eyes
I'm on your side.
You wide-eyed girl,
You get it right,

Fall back into place.

Oh, I feel so much better.
I feel so much better today.
And it's not the drugs.
And it's not the weather.
I just feel so much better today.

And there are those who will never learn,
Who build a fire and can't stay warm.
The only secret to make it through
Is to take what's in front of you.
I feel death and it thrills me,
And all the lights in front of me.
Drive 'til the coast is clear,
Fight until it disappears.

I've been asleep in the driver's seat.
I've been lost in my head for weeks,
Tryin' to find what it is I need.
Too god ****** tired to sleep.

The game of life is hard to play,
I'm gonna lose it anyway.
The losing card I'll someday lay
So this is all I have to say:
“Happiness is painless.
It brings on many changes
And I can take or leave it if I please.”

Life is quite absurd
And death's the final word,
You must always face the curtain with a bow.
Forget about your sin!
Give the audience a grin!
Enjoy it, it's your last chance anyhow.

And now, the end is near.
And so I face the final curtain.
My friend, I'll say it clear
I'll state my case, of which I'm certain.
I've lived a life that's full,
I traveled each and every highway.
Regrets, I've had a few
But then again, too few to mention.
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption.
I planned each charted course,
Each careful step along the byway,
And more, much more than this,
I did it my way.

A brave man once requested me
To answer questions that are key:
“Is it to be or not to be?”
And I replied “Oh, why ask me?”

So always look on the bright side of death,
A'just before you draw your terminal breath.

I know when the dog bites,
When the bee stings,
And when I'm feeling sad.

Yes, there were times, I'm sure you knew,
When I bit off more than I could chew.
But through it all, when there was doubt
I ate it up and spit it out.

So life's a *******
When I look at it.
Life's a laugh and death's a joke, it's true.
You'll see it's all a show,
Keep 'em laughin' as you go.

I mean, what have you got to lose?
You know, you come from nothing,
You're going back to nothing,
What have you lost? Nothing!

Whatever will be, will be.
Don't care what anyone else thinks.
I'll be okay, I promise
Just keep on keeping on.

Remember,
It's just a bad day, not a bad life.
I'll always be there for you.
I swear the breath from my lungs,
You'll feel it when you know.

With your feet in the air and your head on the ground,
Try this trick and spin it, yeah!
Your head will collapse
If there's nothing in it
And you'll ask yourself:
“Where is my mind?”

Somewhere over the rainbow
Bluebirds fly
And the dreams that you dare to dream,
Once in a lullaby,
Really do come true.

I hear babies cry.
I watch them grow.
They'll learn much more
Than I'll never know.
And I think to myself:
“These are a few of my favorite things.”

A reminder to never give up.

Everything worth doing is hard.

The only time that matters is right now.

It's okay to feel lost.

Live life to the full
because you never know what's around the corner.
So let's take a part of the world and make it our own,
Don't let the ******* grind you down.
That’s how you saved me.

I've been so low,
Felt the wind blow
Like I was a screen door
In a thunderstorm.

Yeah, I've been down,
I've been laid out
But you always were
What I came here for.

You're just too good to be true,
Can't take my eyes off of you.
You’re like Heaven to touch,
I love to hold you so much.
At long last, love has arrived
And I thank God I'm alive,
You're just too good to be true,
Can't take my eyes off of you.

Guided by voices, it’s you and me.

Pardon the way that I stare but
There's nothin' else to compare,
The sight of you leaves me weak.
There are no words left to speak

So this is all I have to say:
“That happiness is painless.
It brings on many changes
And I can take or leave it if I please.
And you can do the same thing
If you please.”

And the ghost of the boulevard
Is littered with lonely hearts.
The city like a graveyard
Once was a postcard.
When you lose your wonder
And you can't remember
When we were living in the days of thunder.

Love was a dream to have.
Was a kingsize bed.
Was an escape plan.
Was an open hand.
Soon

The sword of time will pierce our skins.
It doesn't hurt when it begins
But as it works its way on in
The pain grows stronger watch it grin, and

It's been a rough year.
There’ve been some tough tears.
I might lose so fast
All that I had,
But when it's time to
I'll fight for you.
'Cause you know you are
Why I've come so far.

Someday I'll wish upon a star,
Wake up where the clouds are far behind me,
Where trouble melts like lemon drops
High above the chimney tops that's where you'll find me.
Oh, somewhere over the rainbow way up high
And the dream that you dare to..
Why, oh why can't I?..

Won't you come see about me?
I'll be alone, dancing, you know it, baby.
Tell me your troubles and doubts.
Give them everything, inside and out and

When that moon is big and bright
It's a supernatural delight
Everybody's dancing in the moonlight,
Dancing in the moonlight.
Everybody's feeling warm and bright,
It's such a fine and natural sight.
Everybody here is out of sight.
They don't bark and they don't bite,
They keep things loose, they keep 'em tight,
And everybody's dancing in the moonlight.

Don't you try and pretend.
It's my feeling we'll win in the end, I won't

dwell on that which longer nurseth the disease,
Feeding on that which doth preserve the ill,
Th' uncertain sickly appetite to please.

I've loved, I've laughed and cried
I've had my fill, my share of losing
And now, as tears subside
I find it all so amusing
To think I did all that
And may I say, not in a shy way
Oh, no, oh, no, not me
I did it my way

and

‘tis better to have loved and lost
Than never to have loved at all.

Oh,
Don’t worry, be happy
Don’t worry,
Be happy now.
