Dec 2020
The fire is rushing in
As every wall begins to crumble
That beating sound
It feels like the earth is falling down

But with that fire in your eyes
I can see when it ignites
Your heart races right beside mine
So hold my hand and promise
You nor I will never let go

The ocean glistens like diamonds
But all I can see are your eyes
The way they search into me
Like when you can picture the mountain
And there’s a sun break like a reef

But with that look in your eyes
I can see through the depths
The waters and the mountains
The treacherous hills we climbed
Please fall right back into me

Just lay with me my dear
In our bed covered in flowers
Where we share our deepest fears
And plainly love each other
Where the night turns day
Way too quick
I’ll forever wake to your morning kiss

You have saved me, my dear.
I hope I save you, my love.
