Lying in my bed,
Desperately trying to sleep;
The thoughts in my head:
They refuse to seize.

Slumber surrounding the body,
But the mind lays awake,
Full of thoughts,
I cannot shake.

The dreams of future,
The cool dance move,
From chores and boring routines,
To the beat that earlier grooved.

Trying to reason with,
The reason itself,
Refuses to listen,
Scared of the silence it would have to begat.

A bit of tug and war;
It defeatedly agrees,
Diving down eventually
Into the deep ocean of sleep.
There are some nights where you lay in bed but can't sleep for some unknown reason with light random thoughts in your head.
