Seeking Treasures
The staggering complexity of life,
A moment shorter.
The confusing perplexity of time,
You can’t live longer.
The wasteful ambitions of the self,
You wish you got them.
The time has passed now it too late,
You got forgotten.
Obstinate beliefs, where did they get us?
We walk alone now, in world that only hates us.
There is resentment in our hearts we don’t discuss,
As if our feelings are benign and don’t concern us.
We fail, to see and realize,
We had everything we really ever wanted.
Until the moment, will finally arise,
And empty our souls now will feel haunted.
Regret, fills up our human eyes,
To our fate forever we are bounded.
We were foolish, we only chased the prize,
We wanted treasures that would never could be counted.
It’s too late now, we’ve reached our own demise,
And by treasures will forever be surrounded.
