When your charcoal orbs fall upon me, I couldn’t think of anything else besides the red carnation.

Words left unsaid. Hasten pulse left unscarred.

“Oh how I wish you knew sooner, my love”

Persephone’s voice hung high while her fingers traced his name. Inscribed into her wrist.

Outside her chamber, the universe listens closely to the words lurking beyond the sky.

Her prayers.

I wish there was a shortcut to make things easier.

I wish there was a hidden place to locked this false affection.

I wish there was a graveyard to bury all these thoughts of you.

And I wish there was an empty castle to conceal others’ remarks.

“Why are you still fighting for him?”

She smiled, a void one.

“I’m running out of time”
