Like every boy I've played some sports

And oh how I had fun.

Competition got me high;

Even higher when I won!

And like every boy I had my dreams,

But I never realized,

Fatherhood would come along

And be my biggest prize.

So when I got it figured out,

Everything I had.

Was nothing more than second best,

No toppin' bein' dad.

Now all the thrills of victory,

Will never match the joy.

Of knowing I can be a dad,

Just like every boy.
