When I was young I saw the pattern perfectly clear
They don't want you anywhere near the top cause they fear the power we got
They want us to rot, in debt, our accounts in arrears
Can't wait till the end of the month is here
****
Wish the boy had a plan to go places with or without laces and not end up in the can
That ain for me
That's something I could clearly see
The pattern was set out so we couldn't be free
Free from the bonds, not talking James
It's odd, it's strange that we can't live in peace
Always fighting with someone for something that got me pondering what it is that delays us so
If you really look back at how it was before this land was mine and yours
Not those from the north that migrated south or those who wanted to stuff their mouths, looking for anything but a spouse
They took without asking
Now all their crimes they masking
We'll see how long this country lasting in the hands of those who not belonging
I can see the pattern perfectly clear
They don't want us here

Eyes burning, the clock turning, time passing so why we wasting our lives in front of screens
I don't like that scene, everyone in a room, head leaning forward pointed towards a screen, it's obscene
How did we get to this?? What did I miss?? It was so discreet, it all seemed so bliss
Now it's all clockwork, tick tock, the gears turning we working like machines
Get up, go to work, get home off with the shoes and shirt, then off to bed, are we not human beings??
Are we not to enjoy the finer things??
Aren't we supposed to enjoy the moments spent with those who care, it ain fair
But there ain enough time, things moving too fast, slow down before you crash
Yes ima human being but what does that mean??
