There was blood on the land,

There was history in our sands,

Our rights were taken long ago,

Oh please, I just want to go home,

I miss the sea, I miss the ocean breeze,

Those friendly “HI's” and the sad goodbyes.

I hope I won't cry tonight, because it’s the Island life that I crave at night.

I wonder when I’ll see those shores again,

If only they could see the desire within,

They think they can own the lands, but it will forever and always be ours,

If I fight for it, will I make my ancestors proud?
